Luan Gallery strives to be accessible to everyone.
Wheelchair Users
For patrons in wheelchairs or using walking aides, we have an entrance ramp leading up to Luan Gallery’s front door via Elliott Road and the Pedestrian Bridge.
All the public areas of the building are fully accessible by wheelchair, with lift access to all levels on-site. We are satisfied that universal accessibility has been largely achieved, though certain areas require attention or careful navigation.
Our staff can assist gallery users with special needs, should they request.
Guide & Support Dogs
Registered guide dogs and support dogs are welcome. Dogs must be kept on a lead or harness at all times.
Seating
Chairs are available upon request for visitors as we do not have benches out for every exhibition.
Priority seating can be made available at our events and openings, if required, for people who have a visual impairment and for wheelchair users. It is important that you advise us of your specific requirements in advance or when booking event tickets so that we can make the necessary arrangements.
Visually Impaired
Artwork labels, text panel information, press releases and curatorial texts are available in large print from the front desk
Toilet Facilities
We have male and female accessible toilets located on the lower ground floor. The female toilets also have a changing unit for babies. All toilet doors open outward.

Our Digital Accessibility Commitment
Luan Gallery is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying the relevant accessibility standards.
Conformance Status
The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) define requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA. We are committed to delivering digital accessibility for all users and this website has been developed in line with recognised Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA. These standards have guided our approach to design, content, and functionality, helping us create an experience that is as inclusive and user-friendly as possible for everyone. We will continue to maintain and enhance the accessibility of this website as part of our ongoing commitment to digital inclusion.
Please be informed of the non-accessible content below:
Non-accessible Content
The content listed below is non-accessible for the following reasons:
▶️ Videos
Some of the videos on our site are shared natively. These may not always have perfect captions or audio descriptions. We’re reviewing them and making changes where we can. All new videos will include reviewed captions going forward.
▶️ Livestreams
Providing fully accurate, synchronised captions for livestream videos in real time is currently not achievable due to the unpredictable nature of live content and limitations of current captioning technology. As a result, we are unable to guarantee that livestream captions meet the WCAG 2.2 AA standards during broadcasts.
Furthermore, due to limited resources, we are currently unable to provide reviewed captions for recorded versions of these livestreams. We understand the importance of accessible content and are actively exploring options to improve captioning support in the future.
▶️ Video galleries
Our website features a video gallery that includes embedded videos hosted on YouTube. These videos are provided as third-party content and may not meet full accessibility standards (e.g., captions, transcripts, or audio descriptions may be unavailable or inaccurate).
Because this content is hosted externally and not under our direct control, we are unable to guarantee its full accessibility. However, we are committed to making our site as inclusive as possible and are taking steps to improve the accessibility of the future video content we create.
