Kerry Guinan

Kerry Guinan is a conceptual artist working to critique large-scale social and spatial relations through performance, intervention, installation, and new media. Significant projects include The Red Thread (2022), a live installation of sewing machines in The Complex, Dublin, that were controlled remotely – in real-time – by workers in a clothes factory in India, curating TULCA Festival of Visual Arts: TACTICAL MAGIC in Galway (2019), and Co-founding and Chairing Praxis: The Artists’ Union of Ireland (2020-23). In 2023 Guinan completed her PhD by practice at the Limerick School of Art & Design, Technological University of the Shannon: Midwest. Originally from Donabate, Dublin, she is currently based in Limerick.
