Join us at Luan Gallery for a sensory exploration of Affective Forms with art therapist Joanne O’Dwyer.
This tour and workshop offer a sensory response to Luan Gallery’s current exhibition Affective Forms. Designed especially for children, the session invites participants to explore and respond to the artworks through feeling, imagination, and play.
Beginning with a guided tour of the exhibition in Luan Gallery, children will be encouraged to notice colours, shapes, textures, and the emotions they evoke. Following this tour, participants will be encouraged to notice their emotional and sensory reactions to the exhibition and express them creatively using a range of materials of their choice in a workshop at Abbey Road Artist Studios. Designed as a therapeutic and nurturing space, the workshop supports self-expression, curiosity, and confidence. There is no right or wrong way to respond! Children are free to experiment, create, and discover their own unique connection to the artworks in Affective Forms.
Booking essential. Suitable for ages 7 – 12.
Affective Forms will continue to 12 April 2026 and will be accompanied by an outreach programme of activities.
