Rooted to the Land
Presented in the River Gallery space ‘Rooted to the Land’ looks at landscape, environment and memory. The work was a collaboration with the elements of Nature. The process of making the work involved the artist burying materials deep in the boglands to allow nature to make its mark, she responded to the marks with further elemental exposure such as rain sun wind and fire. The artistic process of layering, adding, and subtracting continues between artist and nature until a point where the artwork feels complete.
