Terms & Conditions of Purchase
These terms set out the basis on which you can purchase and redeem tickets to events or workshops at Luan Gallery and/or Abbey Road Artists’ Studios.
Luan Gallery is managed by Athlone Arts and tourism Ltd., a company established, funded and owned by Westmeath County Council.
Ticket sales
The management reserves the right at all times to refuse admission. By purchasing tickets for Luan Gallery/Abbey Road Artists’ Studios, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to be bound by and subject to the following Terms and Conditions and have read and agree to the use of the information you provide us with.
- Once your tickets have been purchased, the ticket is non-changeable and non-refundable except at the absolute discretion of Luan Gallery management.
- Once purchased, a ticket(s) must be redeemed within the date clearly stated on the ticket.
- It is the sole responsibility of the ticketholder to check the opening times of Luan Gallery.
- All prices are quoted in Euro.
- Whilst we reserve the right to increase or decrease our prices at any time before you book, once your booking is confirmed the price of your booking as stated in the confirmation email will not be altered.
- Luan Gallery reserves the right, in its absolute discretion, to refuse entry to or remove from its premises in either Luan Gallery or Abbey Road Artists’ Studios or the vicinity any person who:
- Has been convicted of a criminal offence, which, in its opinion, is likely to affect the safety or enjoyment of other visitors.
- Has behaved in a manner or is likely to affect the safety or enjoyment of other visitors.
- Has used threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour or in any way provokes or behaves in a manner which may provoke a breach of the peace.
- Is thought to be under the influence of alcohol or other substances.
- Smoking and vaping are strictly prohibited within all Luan Gallery, the Community Space and Artists’ Studios at Abbey Road, front and back doors of Luan Gallery and Abbey Road Artists’ Studios.
- Any behaviour likely to cause annoyance to other visitors or confusion of any kind is not permitted. Visitors are expected to respect and conform to local laws and customs. If, in Luan Gallery opinion, a visitor is behaving in such a way as to cause danger, distress or annoyance to others or damage to property, he/she/they may be removed from the site. In addition, he/she must meet any expenses incurred as a result of such behaviour.
- We endeavour to provide a safe and healthy environment for visitors within the constraints of a historic public property, and as far as is reasonable and practicable. Please be aware that there are exhibitions that may contain delicate or heavy art pieces. Children should be supervised at all times.
- We will use all reasonable endeavours to ensure that Luan Gallery is open for use by visitors during normal opening hours. However, we reserve the right, in our absolute discretion, whether for safety reasons or otherwise and with or without prior notice, to close Luan Gallery or any part of it.
- From time to time, Luan Gallery or other authorised third parties may carry out photography or other recording at the venue, or at Abbey Road Artists’ Studios, and any images or recordings may feature visitors. Visitors consent to the use of such images by Luan Gallery in connection with advertising, promotions or monitoring and acknowledge that the copyright in such images rests with Luan Gallery and/or any authorised third party. If you do not wish to be photographed or filmed, please let a member of staff know.
- Luan Gallery, its employees or agents shall not be liable for any loss or damage, direct or indirect, howsoever arising.
- Luan Gallery is suitable for all ages. Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult aged 18 or above whilst visiting the gallery and Abbey Road Artists’ Studios.
- Pets or animals (with the exception of guide dogs, hearing dogs and other certified service animals) are expressly prohibited within the gallery.
- If, for some reason, you are unhappy with any aspect of your visit, we ask that you write to us, care of Luan Gallery, Elliott Road, Athlone, Co. Westmeath or by email to info@luangallery.ie. Where possible, please quote the day and time of your visit, and provide all other relevant information.
